Each March, Macon becomes a pink paradise as over 300,000 Yoshino cherry trees bloom in all their splendor for The International Cherry Blossom Festival which spans the last two weekends in march.

The festival includes events like open ceremonies, pancake breakfasts, pet fashion shows, children's entertainment, motorcycle displays, concerts and much, much more, as festival lovers visit the town referred to by Congressional Records as the Cherry Blossom Capital of the World.

The celebration has over one hundred events, 80 percent of which are free to the public. Some of the annual events with free admission include the International Food Fair and the grand finale with fireworks.
This year the festival will have camel rides, a petting zoo and a helicopter ride.
